Expedited Review

Like submissions, expedite requests are accepted exclusively through ExpressO. Generally, we require seven (7) days' notice to conduct an expedited review, although we may need slightly longer depending upon the number of requests.

Manuscript Guidelines

The Wisconsin Law Review seeks articles that address timely and relevant legal topics of state, national or international significance. Text and citations must conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (18th ed. 2005) and the Chicago Manual of Style (15th ed. 2003).

The Wisconsin Law Review gives preference to articles of 37,000 words or less, including text and footnotes. In selecting articles for publication, weight will be given to submissions closer to 20,000 words in length. Authors who wish to submit articles over the length limit should attach to their submission an explanation of why they believe exceptional circumstances apply.

Additional Information

The Wisconsin Law Review has resumed review of submissions as of January 21, 2009.

Further questions should be directed to Adam Welle, Senior Articles Editor, at lawreview.submissions@law.wisc.edu or (608) 262-2109.
