Competition Results
AAJ Competition
Congratulations to our two teams for their participation at the AAJ competition. One of our teams (Andrew Rima, Connor Sabatino, John Gentry and Maggie Hogan) advanced to the semifinal round at the Chicago regional. Both our teams (Mario White, Emily Cannon, Sam Kidd, Scott Jess were the other) were fabulous.
Both teams taken together only lost one round out of 6 and that loss was on a 2 to 1 vote. Everyone worked very, very hard. Congratulations to every one of them and for an extremely successful year.
TYLA Competition
Congratulations to our two teams for their participation at the TYLA Regional Competition. One of our teams (Chiji Offor, Dan Sperling, and Jonathan Parker) advanced to the Region Nine semifinals where they lost to the local team, Wash U, who eventually won the Regional competition and advanced to the National Finals in Austin, TX.
Highlights:
After the first two rounds the team was 2-0 with the #4 seed out of 18 teams.
This is the second year in a row we have advanced to the TYLA Regional Semifinals
The loss to Wash U was a very narrow loss.
