University of Wisconsin Law School Partners
In the fall of 2011, LADR, formerly the Student Hurricane Network (SHN), partnered with the University of Wisconsin Law School’s Pro Bono Program. The Pro Bono Program assists LADR with student recruitment efforts, generates publicity on the Law School’s campus and within the greater University of Wisconsin community, and provides institutional recognition of student volunteer efforts through the Pro Bono Society.
LADR participants earn up to 44 pro bono hours during the trip. Since the partnership with the Pro Bono Society began, interest in LADR has more than doubled, increasing the number of non-profit organizations that University of Wisconsin Law students can serve in regions affected by natural disasters.
