Every fall at the University of Wisconsin Law School, my colleague Sumudu Atapattu and I co-organize a one-day workshop on South Asian legal studies. In the past, we’ve only accepted full panel proposals for the South Asia Legal Studies Workshop. In 2018, though, we’re experimenting with a new format. This year, we’re accepting only single “short paper” proposals and project proposals. If your submission is accepted, it will be pre-circulated among workshop participants (10-12 pages). We’re very excited about this format, as it should enable a new level of engagement with each others’ work. The deadline is just under a month away: April 13, 2018. We’re also seeking commentators.
