Bombay High Court Cases

Pict02Established in 1862, the Bombay High Court celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2012. To mark the occasion, Justice Roshan Dalvi created a compilation of the court’s most interesting and important cases. A very big thank you to BHC Chief Justice Mohit S. Shah and to Justice Dalvi for allowing me to share Roshan S. Dalvi, ed., A Journey of 150 Years through some memorable judgments, 1862-2012 (Mumbai, 2013):

The collection is a companion to another publication produced by the BHC: Dhananjaya Y. Chandrachud, Anoop V. Mohta and Roshan S. Dalvi, eds., A Heritage of Judging: The Bombay High Court through One Hundred and Fifty Years (Mumbai: Maharashtra Judicial Academy & Indian Mediation Centre and Training Institute, 2012).

Happy sesquicentennial, Bombay High Court!

You may also enjoy a visit to the BHC’s Virtual Museum, which includes scans of some rare archival materials like handwritten judgments.
